The terms this service runs on, who runs it, and how to reach a person.

Who we are
This service is operated by the company named below. Correspondence about the service, including anything legal, should go to the support address.
Terms of service
What the service does
You describe an application you want. We build and host it for you, and you change it by asking for changes in your own words. You keep whatever you create. You can export your work at any time and run it elsewhere.
Your account
Accounts are currently issued by invitation. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has it.
We may suspend an account that is being used in a way that breaks the acceptable use section below, that puts the service or other customers at risk, or that we are required to act on by law. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.
What you make
What you create with the service is yours. You are responsible for it — including for having the right to use anything you upload, and for what your own application does and collects once it is live.
We keep a copy of your work so the service can run and so you can undo changes. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to advertise to anyone.
Availability
We run on a single hosted environment and we do not promise uninterrupted service. We will not deliberately withhold your work: an export is available to you at any time while your account is active.
Ending it
You may stop using the service whenever you like and take an export with you. We may end an account for the reasons in the acceptable use section, or by giving you reasonable notice. Charges already incurred remain payable; the refund section below says what happens to anything paid in advance.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data to the extent that data was recoverable from an export you could have taken.
Which law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction.
Privacy
What we collect
- Your account details — name, email address, and optionally a phone number, company name, country and state. You give us these when you ask for an account.
- What you ask the service to build — the descriptions you write, any document you upload as part of describing your idea, and the applications produced from them.
- Usage records — which changes were made and when, and how much machine work each one took, because that is what your bill is calculated from.
What we do not collect
We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this service. We do not sell personal data to anyone, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
We never ask for card numbers, CVVs or bank credentials, and applications built here are not permitted to collect them either. Payments go to a payment provider's own secure page. If you pay us, your card details are handled by that provider and never reach our systems.
Why we may keep it
To run your account and the applications you build, to work out what you owe, to answer you when you get in touch, to keep the service secure, and to meet obligations under Indian tax and company law.
Who else sees it
Service providers who make the service work: our cloud hosting provider, our email provider for the sign-up code, and the model provider whose system turns your description into an application. They act on our instructions and for no other purpose. We also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists, and afterwards only for as long as we need it for tax, accounting or legal reasons. Ask us to delete your account and we will delete your applications and your working files.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the support address below and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with the answer, the complaints section names the person to escalate to.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed and are never recoverable in readable form. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Each customer's application runs isolated from every other one.
How we use email
We send very little mail, and all of it is transactional. There is no newsletter, no marketing list, and no bought or rented address list. We never send to an address that has not been typed into our own form by the person who owns it.
What we send
- A sign-up code — a six-digit code sent to an address at the moment someone types it into our sign-up form, to prove the address is theirs. It expires shortly after it is sent.
- Account and service notices — messages about something that has happened on an account: a change of access, or an answer to a request the account holder made.
Consent
Every message is triggered by a specific action taken by the recipient on this site. We do not import contacts, and we do not mail people who have not asked us to.
Bounces, complaints and unsubscribes
An address that hard bounces is not written to again. A spam complaint is treated as an immediate and permanent withdrawal of consent, and that address is suppressed. We monitor bounce and complaint rates and stop sending if they rise.
Because our mail is transactional rather than marketing, there is no mailing list to unsubscribe from — but anyone who does not want to hear from us can say so at the support address and we will suppress the address and close any account attached to it.
Payments and refunds
How charging works
The service is pay-as-you-go. There is no fee up front and nothing monthly. You are charged for the work you actually ask for, and the running total is shown on your usage page at all times. Prices are in Indian rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
How you pay
Payments are taken on a payment provider's own hosted page. We do not see or store your card number.
Refunds
You may ask for a refund within the window shown below of the charge you are querying.
Write to the support address with the date and amount. If the charge was for work that did not happen, or was duplicated, or was taken in error, we refund it in full. Where work was genuinely carried out, we will look at what happened and answer you with a reason either way.
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. Your bank usually takes five to seven working days after we send it.
Domain names are different
A domain name cannot be refunded once it has been registered. When you buy one through us we pay the registry immediately and that charge is final and irreversible — the domain is registered in your name for the term you chose, and neither we nor the registry can undo it.
So, before you pay:
- Check the spelling. A domain is registered exactly as typed. We cannot swap it for a different one afterwards, and a misspelling is not a fault we can reverse.
- Check the extension and the term. The price and the number of years are shown before you confirm, and both are final once paid.
The only exceptions are ones where nothing was actually registered: if the registration fails after you have paid, or you are charged twice for the same domain, we refund that in full. Write to support and we will sort it out.
A domain you buy through us is yours. You can point it wherever you like, and you can transfer it away to another provider once the registry's transfer lock has lapsed — usually 60 days after registration, which is a rule of the registry and not one of ours.
Renewals are not automatic unless you ask for them. We will tell you before a domain expires; if it lapses, recovering it is subject to the registry's own redemption fees, which are not ours to waive.
Cancelling
There is no subscription to cancel. Stop using the service and nothing further is charged. You can delete your applications and export your work first, and we recommend doing so in that order.
Cancelling your account does not cancel a domain you have bought. It stays registered to you for its term.
Putting an app on a store
These are the terms you agree to when you press Build on a phone app. They are in addition to the terms above, and they exist because an app is harder to take back than a website.
The name is permanent
The first time you build, we work out the identity your app carries on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. It comes from the name you give the app, and it can never be changed afterwards. Not by us, and not by the stores. An app with a different identity is a different app: it has no installs, no reviews and no history, and anyone who installed the first one is not updated to the second.
You can rename your app whenever you like. That changes what people read on the listing. It does not change the identity underneath.
The icon
Your app needs an icon before it can be built. You can upload your own logo or use the one we draw from your app's name. If you upload one, you confirm it is yours to use, or that you have permission to use it. We check that it will read well at the size a phone draws it, and we will tell you if we think it will not — but the decision is yours.
We publish it, from our own account
You do not need a Play Store or App Store account. We put your app on the store from ours, and we check every build before it goes. That means we can decline to publish something, and we will tell you why. It also means the store listing carries our name as the publisher.
What we will not publish: anything that breaks the acceptable use rules above, anything that infringes somebody else's rights, and anything a store would reject and hold against the account other founders' apps also depend on.
What a store decides is not ours to decide
Google and Apple review apps against their own rules and can reject or remove one at any time, for reasons they do not always explain. We will tell you what we are told and try again where it is worth trying. We cannot promise that an app will be accepted, or that it will stay on a store. The fee you pay us is for the work of preparing and submitting a release, not for a guaranteed listing, and it is not refundable once that work has been done.
Your app is yours
The code, the content and the customers are yours. If you leave, you take the whole project with you. The store listing itself sits in our account, so moving it to your own account later is a transfer we will have to do together — ask us and we will start it.
Acceptable use
What you build here is largely up to you. These are the things you must not do, and an account doing any of them can be suspended without notice.
- Send unsolicited bulk email, or build anything designed to.
- Collect card numbers, CVVs or banking credentials in an application built here. Payment must go to a payment provider's hosted page.
- Impersonate a person, a company or a public body; build a page designed to be mistaken for someone else's; or run a phishing or fraud operation.
- Publish material that is unlawful in India, or that infringes somebody else's intellectual property.
- Distribute malware, or use the service to attack or scan systems you do not own.
- Try to break out of your own environment, reach another customer's data, or defeat the limits placed on your account.
If you find something built here that breaks these rules, tell us at the support address and we will act on it.
Complaints
Start with support — most things are settled there.
If support has not resolved it, our Grievance Officer, appointed under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules 2021, will take it up. Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month of receipt.
